Oliver Sacks: Migraine
Oliver Sacks' book on migraine was an eye-opening read for me. I had never really considered the how and the why of the condition, and this book explains everything so well in fascinating detail. I recognised a lot of the symptoms and the feelings described, so this book was essential when trying to write about my own experience, the pages I've included here being especially helpful.
Not only was there factual evidence but Sacks' goes into great depth to describe everything one might experience when suffering from migraine, so it truly made me feel like I wasn't alone and that there is proper evidence available to enhance our understanding, as this book has been around for decades despite being relatively unknown in the wider social sphere.
