Vanessa Berry: I am a Camera (Zine)

After discovering Vanessa Berry's blog Mirror Sydney, in which she traverses around Sydney blogging about the psychogeography of the area, I then discovered she sold handmade zines where she writes creative observational pieces alongside personal illustrations. 

I just had to buy a copy, so I got 'I am a camera' shipped all the way from Australia. 

'Spinning Top' was my favourite from the collection, I just love the imagery that emerges as Berry's thoughts wander, and she notes down things she sees in fleeting moments that pass by. Her intrigue in everything- objects, people, and her imagination in them being 'secret messages' or 'deliberate communication[s]' are exciting ways in which to link place to memory in an innovative and creative fashion,
